Ragi Chips Recipe: In today’s time, junk food and packaged chips have become a part of our lifestyle, be it children or youth. Not everyone is able to stop themselves from eating it. But health conscious people are now looking for healthy options. Ragi, considered a ‘superfood’, can be a great and nutritious alternative to chips. The good thing is that you can easily make Ragi chips at home and it is more beneficial than packaged chips and is also tastier. So let us know the recipe of making ragi chips and its benefits.
Material
Ragi flour – 1 cup
Wheat flour or gram flour – 2 tbsp (optional, for crispness)
Salt – as per taste
Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
Celery – ½ tsp
Cumin – ½ tsp
Oil – 1 tsp (for moyan)
Water – as per need
Oil for frying (or baking/air frying)
Method
- In a bowl, add ragi flour, wheat flour/gram flour, salt, spices and 1 tsp oil.
- Mix water little by little and knead a stiff dough. Keep the dough covered for 10-15 minutes.
- Now take a small ball of dough and roll it very thinly. Cut into desired shapes (using a knife or pizza cutter).
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the chips on medium flame until they turn golden. For a healthy option, you can also bake or air fry them.
- Remove on tissue paper and let cool. Crunchy ragi chips are ready.
