The eldest daughter of the Kardashian-Jenner clan, Kim Kardashian seems to be dating F1 racer Lewis Hamilton and the world can't keep calm. The rumoured couple's pairing has numerous fans excited to see how this relationship turns out in the long end and whether they will finally walk down the aisle together. However, the freshly brewed love affair goes back to years of friendship. Here's everything we know about their new bond.



The one where they met



Kim and Lewis are said to have met for the first time at the high-profile event, GQ Men of the Year Awards in 2014. At the time, the beauty mogul was married to rapper Kanye West while the race car driver was dating Nicole Scherzinger.



The one where they went from friends to family



Over the next year, Lewis was no longer just a friend, he was invited to family events like Easter celebrations with the entire Kardashian-West clan. Kanye later revealed that the racer had hung out at their home, played music in the studio during a family brunch, which everyone thought was "very good." The same year, he was also present in the VIP section when Kanye headlined Glastonbury, establishing himself as a family friend.



The one where Kris Jenner approved



Over the years, Hamilton formed a deep bond with individual members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan. In 2019, he was seen talking to momager Kris Jenner in the pits of the Monaco Grand-Prix.



The one where they were both single



Moving ahead to 2021, newly single Kim and Lewis appeared together at the Wall Street Journal Innovator Awards. While the racer was honoured for his sports career, Kim was acknowledged for her Skims empire. Hamilton later shared a photo with Kim, captioning: “It’s such an honour to be recognised amongst a group of such remarkable talent.”

In December 2025, the pair was seen attending Kate Hudson's New Year Eve's party in Aspen. While they were not photographed together, it is believed that this was the romantic meet cute.



The one where they vacation together



In January 2026, the pair seemed to finalise a romantic relationship. The Sun reported that they had enjoyed a secret countryside getaway in the UK. As per the outlet, Kim flew on her private jet from Los Angeles to meet Lewis at Estelle Manor, a country-hotel and members' club in the Cotswolds. While neither have confirmed their romance, people are recognising the signs and being hopeful.



A dating flashback



Hamilton, 41, has had a high profile dating life that included numerous supermodels and popstars. He was in an on-and-off-again relationship with Pussycat Dolls star Nicole Scherzinger from 2007-2015. He was later spotted multiple times with supermodels Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner. He was also spotted with Rihanna in Barbados at their national carnival.



Other stars he was rumoured to have dated include Rita Ora, Winnie Harlow, Barbara Palvin and Nicki Minaj. More recently, he had been linked with Shakira in 2023 as the two were spotted enjoying numerous boat trips together post the popstar's split for her ex-partner Gerard Pique. As for Kardashian, 45, love has been a bit of a rocky road. From 2000-2003, she was married to music producer Damon Thomas, who was ten years her senior. After their divorce, she dated musician Ray J for two years till 2006. From 2007-2010, Kardashian dated NFL running back Reggie Bush and their romance was even featured on the family's acclaimed show 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians.'



Then came the West-Kardashian era. The two had a friendships since the 2000s but formalised a romantic union in 2011, after West told Kardashian not to marry her boyfriend of a year Kris Humphries. In 2012, West announced the couple was expecting their first baby together, and in 2014, they got married in Italy. The now-divorced couple share four kids together: North West, Saint, Chicago and Psalm. They got divorced in 2021 following the rapper's struggle with mental health and his bi-polar disorder. Kardashian's first public relationship post her divorce was with comedian Pete Davidson, with the couple also attending the 2022 Met Gala together.
