A journalist who has known Katie Price for decades has revealed what she believes is the truth behind her recent shock marriage. Clemmie Moodie, who has "known and liked" Katiefor nearly 20 years, shared the revelations as she discussed details of a recent FaceTime conversation she shared with the former glamour model before she tied the knot for a fourth time after a whirlwind romance.

She revealed that on January 15, they made a "solemn vow" to avoid "men, women, anything with a pulse" for at least six months, but, judging by her actions just nine days later, it seems Katie had a change of heart.

Katieannounced her engagement to businessman Lee Andrews— who she called her "real-life Richard Gere"- on Instagram last week. Mere hours after the announcement, photos emerged showing the couple seemingly tying the knot in Dubai.

Clemmie doesn't see the shocking incident as a publicity stunt, though; instead, she says it’s simply "all so Katie Price", who, in her words, "cannot help herself", noting Katie's "endearing" vice of being a "love addict".

She wrote in a piece for The Sun: "Nine days later, she got engaged for the ninth time. She married the man in question, Lee Andrews, 24 hours later. It is all so Katie Price.

"This, after all, is a woman who loves love. She cannot help herself. Of all her vices — of which we all have many — being a love addict is surely her most endearing."

Addressing notions that the union was one "big" publicity stunt, Clemmie claimed that "sadly", it wasn't. She went on to claim that "Pricey" is "desperate to be loved".

Clemmie added: "Sure, she doesn't always help herself, and from personal experience the Pricey may not always be right but she IS kind, loyal and, quite simply, desperate to be loved. Aren’t we all, deep down?"

In other recent updates on the romance, reports yesterday stated that, according to Lee, the couple had already found their new home and were gearing up for their honeymoon.

He told The Sun that they had "got the house" before revealing that they intended to head off on their honeymoon over the "next 72 hours", but declined to share where they were going.

Katie, who has been married three times previously, including to Mysterious Girl singer Peter Andre, reportedly met her new husband "online" prior to flying out to meet him in the UAE.

It follows her split from Married At First Sight star JJ Slater(who has reportedly now unfollowed Katie on Instagram). On Friday, January 23, she left fans gobsmacked when she posted snaps of her engagement.

She shared a photo of rose petals organised to spell "will you marry me", followed by a look at the engagement ring. Only Katie and Lee were reportedly in attendance at the ceremony.

Katie said: "I'm just so happy with my person that is just as happy as I am. What we have, they haven't even invented the words."
