OH CLARE (2.30, Nap) is fancied to follow up her victory last time out by beating seven rivals in the British Stallion Studs Mares' Novices' Hurdle at Carlisle on Tuesday.

The six-year-old, trained by Jonjo and AJ O'Neill, has shown improved form this season, first finishing runner-up in a class 4 maiden hurdle over today's course and distance behind Real Quartz, who franked the form by winning again at Doncaster next time out.

The daughter of Walk In The Park then progressed again to break her maiden tag at Lingfield just before Christmas.

Always prominent, the mare into the lead 2 out before staying on well under Jonjo O'Neill jnr to win by three lengths from Sevarana.

A similar display today would make her hard to beat.

Earlier on the card, DELLA CASA LUNGA (2.00, nb) has good claims to land the racingtv.com Chasing Excellence Beginners' Chase over two and a half miles.

The Clive Boulbee-Brooks trained eight-year-old was a useful hurdler and should be thereabouts if taking to fences on her Chase debut.
