New Delhi . The league phase of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2026) is now completely over and with it the playoff picture has also become clear. After the last league match on Sunday 1 February, it was decided which team remained on top, which got the direct final ticket and which teams’ journey of this season ended here. This season was shocking in many ways, because the defending champion team also failed to make it to the playoffs.

A total of three teams have qualified for the playoffs in the five-team WPL 2026, while two teams have been eliminated from the tournament. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) performed brilliantly to achieve the top position in the league stage and directly entered the finals. RCB won 6 out of 8 matches and stood first in the points table with 12 points. This was the best performance of this season and on this basis the team did not need to play the eliminator.

Gujarat Giants team stood at second place. Gujarat won 5 out of 8 matches in the league stage and finished second in the points table with 10 points. However, due to not being on top, Gujarat will now have to play eliminator matches to reach the finals. Gujarat is going to face Delhi Capitals in the eliminator, only by winning which the team will be able to make it to the finals.

Delhi Capitals team was at third place. Delhi’s journey this season was full of ups and downs, but somehow the team won 4 out of 8 matches and entered the playoffs with 8 points. However, the path to the eliminator will not be easy for Delhi, as it has lost both its matches against Gujarat Giants in the league stage. In such a situation, there will be additional pressure on Delhi in the eliminator.

The biggest disappointment this time was Mumbai Indians, who despite being the defending champion, could not make it to the playoffs in fourth place. Mumbai won only 3 out of 8 matches and stood fourth with 6 points. At the same time, UP Warriors team was at the bottom in the points table, which won only 2 matches in the entire season and was out of the tournament with 4 points.

Now only two matches are left in WPL 2026. The eliminator match will be played in Vadodara on 3 February, in which Gujarat Giants and Delhi Capitals will face each other. The winning team of this match will face RCB in the final on 5th February. In such a situation, everyone’s eyes are on whether RCB will win the title for the first time or some other team will win.
