In accordance with the instructions of the Election Commission of India, under the special intensive revision campaign conducted on the basis of qualification date 01 January 2026, today on 31 January 2026, Commissioner/Roll Observer Ayodhya Division, Ayodhya Rajesh Kumar, District Election Officer/District Magistrate Anupam Shukla, Superintendent of Police Abhijit R Shankar, Chief Development Officer Anand Kumar Shukla, Deputy District Election Officer/Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Jyotsna Bandhu, The inspection program of the works of SIR was completed by holding a review meeting in the Collectorate Auditorium with all the electoral registration officers and officials of all the recognized national and state political parties and visiting various booths of the assembly constituency Akbarpur and Katehari assembly constituency.
On arrival of the Divisional Commissioner in the district, he was welcomed by the District Magistrate/District Election Officer Anupam Shukla in the Collectorate premises by presenting him a bunch of flowers. Thereafter, a meeting was organized with representatives of recognized political parties in connection with the special intensive revision campaign in the Collectorate auditorium. In the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner received feedback and suggestions on SIR (Special Intensive Review) from the officials of political parties and appealed for active cooperation from all the political parties to ensure maximum presence of voters during the hearing of notices issued in SIR, so that more and more voters can reach the hearing venues on the scheduled dates. And as per the instructions of the Honorable Election Commission, no eligible citizen should be deprived of inclusion in the voter list. Besides, information was also given regarding the SOP prescribed by the Election Commission of India.
On this occasion, the Divisional Commissioner was informed by the District Election Officer about the progress of SIR work in the district. He directed that Form-6 should be compulsorily filled by all the remaining eligible voters within the time limit set by the Commission, so that no eligible citizen is deprived of getting his name registered in the voter list.
After this, the process of hearing of ‘no-mapping’ voters under SIR by Divisional Commissioner was being conducted by AERO at the hearing places of notices in Assembly Constituency-281 Akbarpur in Tehsil Akbarpur, such as the office of the Block Development Officer, Akbarpur and Panchayat Bhawan, Annawa, and on the special campaign date of SIR, at various booths of Assembly Constituency-281 Akbarpur, such as 63-Primary School, Moosepur Girant. 64-Primary School Ghaghupur Room No.-1 and 65-Primary School Ghaghupur Room No.-2 and various booths of Assembly Constituency-277 Katehari such as 241-Panchayat Ghar Dhanwari, 242-Khemraj Inter College Khemapur Kutch No.1 and 243-Khemaraj Inter College Khempur Room No.2. Reading of voter list and forms are being done by the concerned booth level officer. Physically inspected the works of compilation of volumes 6, 7 and 8.

During the inspection, the Divisional Commissioner instructed all the AEROs to compulsorily call each concerned voter a day before the hearing date and inform him about the hearing date and venue. While receiving information regarding the hearing conducted from the concerned AERO, he gave instructions to ensure 100% compliance of the SOP prescribed by the Commission and asked for quality disposal of notices by giving correct and clear information to the voters coming for the hearing. During the inspection, the Divisional Commissioner interacted with the BLAs and voters present at various booths and obtained feedback about their experiences regarding the notice serving and hearing process. During this, the Divisional Commissioner appreciated the status of EP ratio and gender ratio at booth 241-Panchayat Bhawan Dhanwari and gave instructions to do similar work at other booths also. He instructed to pay special attention to gender ratio. Also, the proceedings being conducted on the portal were conducted and observed by AERO.
