The episode starts with Maira and Armaan performing on stage for the dance competition; however, they are challenged to do it blindfolded. During their performance, Maira trips twice; however, recovers quickly and finishes the performance, garnering everybody's praise.



Abhira is unable to mess up her performance Abhira and Vani 's performance follows, and Vani also chooses to dance with the blindfold on. In the middle of the performance, Abhira remembers that Maira had asked her to sabotage her performance in order to let her win. She pauses in the middle, however, looks over at Arman, who reassures her. The two excel with flying colors, leaving Maira and the whole family worried that they may win.



As a result, Abhira and Vani win the competition, leaving the whole Poddar family distraught. Maira runs backstage and locks herself in the green room. Both Armaan and Abhira run after Maira and ask her to open the door; however, she refuses to do so, saying that her mother loves Vani more. Abhira then asks her what she wants, to which her daughter replies by saying that she cannot share her parents. She tells Abhira to send Vani to boarding school .



Abhira and Armaan have a conversation about the same, and after some reluctance, she finally agrees to send Vani away.



Vani finds the pendriveThe scene shifts to Vani telling Rajat and Anita about her when, and happily celebrating that she was able to complete her mother's wish. Later on, she finds an abandoned pen drive and assumes that it belongs to Armaan. She finds a laptop nearby to check it and is horrified to find Meher and her father’s audio on it.



However, before she can do anything and inform Armaan and Abhira, Vidya finds her backstage and starts screaming at her.



Vidya scolds VaniVidya grabs Vani away from the laptop and starts screaming at her about how she is coming between the family. She tells her to stay away from everyone, and when Vani attempts to call her Dadi, she gets even angrier and says that they are not family members. Meher, who is watching nearby, steps in and tells Vidya to leave, saying that she will deal with Dwani and take her away from here.



While the promo for the next episode does not show much, it reveals that ‘ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai ’ will take an 8-year leap into the future.
