Fans of The Masked Singer are adamant they've cracked the identity of the mystery Mole Dommett, believing the celebrity beneath the costume is an ITV legend. The popular reality programme's seventh series is well underway, with audiences attempting to decipher who lies behind this season's array of peculiar characters.

Six famous faces have already been exposed. The One Show's Alex Jones and rapper Professor Green were initially revealed as Disc Jockey and Teabag, respectively. They were succeeded by musicians John Lydon and Marcella Detroit, who emerged as Yak and Gargoyle.

Last week (January 24) saw a double unmasking, with singer and actress Kate Nash and Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke stepping out from the Monkey Business and Arctic Fox disguises. Whilst audiences persist in their efforts to identify the remaining six contestants - Can of Worms, Conkers, Moth, Red Panda, Sloth and Toastie - the programme has introduced yet another cryptic character, reports the Mirror.

Presenter Joel Dommett brought "double agent" Mole Dommett onto the stage, after the character dropped additional hints to the audience during the participants' video packages. Joel subsequently confirmed Mole's unmasking would occur in tonight's episode (Saturday, January 31). Ahead of the big reveal, ITV fans have been working overtime attempting to deduce their identity.

Following Mole's appearances on ITV's Lorraine and This Morning on Friday (30th January), numerous viewers have flocked to social media speculating that The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh might be the person beneath the disguise.

During the Lorraine segment, the mysterious figure prominently displayed a muddy boots placard, declaring: "Forget Vera, Morse or Marple, Joel knows this Mole is definitely up for a challenge and I'm always fair and square." Subsequently on This Morning, Mole dropped a radio whilst making reference to "banking on a deal".

One Reddit contributor then suggested: "I'm going Bradley Walsh I think. He mentioned detectives and Bradley plays one. Mentioned squares - Blankety Blank. And then banking on a deal could be Weakest Link, he was a contestant I believe."

Another chimed in: "Ooh yes I hear this!" whilst a third commented: "It has to be! Love Bradley."

However, alternative theories point towards Stephen Mulhern or Olly Murs. "Surely it's Stephen Mole-hern," one observer quipped. Someone else responded: "I'd love for it to be Stephen," as a third noted: "I would still go for Olly Murs. He did a cameo on EastEnders and is good friends with Joel... I wish he would sing haha, would be easy to guess then!"

A fourth spectator offered an entirely different hypothesis, questioning: "Do we know that Mole is definitely male? I'm thinking it could be Scarlett Moffatt. She did I'm a Celebrity with Joel, used to host The Breakfast show for Capital North East... and hosted I'm a Celeb Extra Camp." Could they be onto something?
