The governor of Texas said in that directive, those who will apply for work under the H-1B visa, their application will be suspended until May 31, 2027. But Abbott himself explained why this decision was made. He said that this step has been taken to secure the jobs of American citizens.

Due to which the employees who came to India on vacation from America are not able to return to America. H-1B visa interviews have been pushed back to mid-to-late 2027. Fearing job loss in this incident, expatriates returned to India.
