New Delhi. RCB defeated UP Warriors by 8 wickets to win their 6th match of the WPL 2026 league stage. With this victory, Royal Challengers Bangalore has booked the ticket for the WPL final.

Smriti Mandhana-led Royal Challengers Bangalore have secured their place in the WPL 2026 finals. RCB, which has already qualified for the playoffs, registered its 6th win by defeating UP Warriors by 8 wickets in the 18th match of the league stage. This victory confirmed RCB’s place in the final.

Now the battle continues between the four teams for the two remaining spots for the playoffs. Let us tell you, a total of three teams qualify for the playoffs in WPL. The table topper gets a direct ticket to the final, while the second and third placed teams play the eliminator match.

How was the RCB vs UP match?
After losing the toss and opting to bat first, UP Warriors team could score only 143 runs on the board at the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Deepti Sharma definitely scored a half-century and played an inning of 55 runs, while Meg Lanning scored 41 runs. But after the dismissal of these two, no batsman of the team could even touch the 20-run mark. Nadine de Klerk took the maximum of 4 wickets by conceding 22 runs in the quota of 4 overs.
While chasing the target of 144 runs, RCB’s opening pair created havoc. Grace Harris and Smriti Mandhana ended the match there by making a partnership of 108 runs in 9.1 overs for the first wicket. Grace Harris scored 75 runs on 37 balls, while Mandhana remained unbeaten on 54 runs on 27 balls.

WPL 2026 playoff race is very exciting
After RCB secured their place in the final, the race is on between the four teams for the remaining two spots. Gujarat Giants is at second position with 8 points, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals have 6 points each. Whereas UP Warriors are at the bottom with 4 points. No team has been officially eliminated from the tournament yet.
