Visakhapatnam 29 January 2026: India may have lost by 50 runs in the fourth T20 match played between India and New Zealand, but all-rounder Shivam Dubey has won the hearts of cricket lovers with his stormy batting. Dubey has set a new milestone in the history of Indian cricket by completing his half-century in just 15 balls. He has become the third player for India to score the fastest fifty in T20 International cricket.

Shivam Dubey had targeted the over of New Zealand spinner Ish Sodhi. In the 12th over of the innings, Dubey took a total of 28 runs by hitting 2 fours and 3 sky-high sixes. With this, he has reached joint third position with Rohit Sharma in the list of Indian batsmen scoring most runs in an over. Rohit had scored 28 runs in Mitchell Starc’s over in 2024.
