New Delhi. A weak trend is visible in the domestic stock market during early trading today. Today’s trading started at flat level with slight gains. After the market opened, buying pressure appeared to be building for some time, but after a short time sellers created pressure. Due to this pressure, both the Sensex and Nifty indices dived into the red. After trading till 10 am, Sensex was trading with a strength and weakness of 0.70 percent and Nifty with a strength and weakness of 0.66 percent.
After trading till 10 am, among the big stocks of the stock market, shares of Larsen & Toubro, Hindalco Industries, Tata Steel, ONGC and NTPC were trading with a strength of 3.03 percent to 1.58 percent. On the other hand, shares of Maruti Suzuki, Bharat Electronics, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, InterGlobe Aviation and Asian Paints were seen trading with a weakness of 2.44 per cent to 1.82 per cent.
In the current trading, there was active trading in 2,687 shares in the stock market. Of these, 939 shares were trading in the green after making profits, while 1,748 shares were trading in the red after incurring losses. Similarly, out of 30 shares included in Sensex, 7 shares remained in the green with the support of buying. On the other hand, 23 shares were trading in the red due to selling pressure. Whereas out of 50 shares included in Nifty, 15 shares were seen trading in green mark and 35 shares were seen trading in red mark.
BSE Sensex opened today with a slight gain of 24.28 points at the level of 82,368.96 points. Shortly after the start of trading, the index jumped to a level of 82,386.79 points within 10 minutes before getting buying support. After this, due to selling pressure, the index dived into the red. After trading till 10 am amid continuous buying and selling in the market, the Sensex was trading at 81,769.11 points with a fall of 575.57 points.
Like Sensex, NSE’s Nifty started trading today at the level of 25,345 points with a nominal rise of 2.25 points. After the market opened, when buying support was formed, this index managed to jump and reach 25,359.35 points. However, selling started in the market after the first 10 minutes of trading, due to which the index lost all its gains and fell into the red. After continuous buying and selling in the market till 10 am, Nifty fell by 162 points and was trading at the level of 25180.75 points.
Before this, on the last trading day on Wednesday, the Sensex had closed at the level of 82,344.68 points with a gain of 487.20 points or 0.60 percent. At the same time, Nifty ended Wednesday’s trading at the level of 25,342.75 points with a rise of 167.35 points or 0.66 percent.
