New Delhi: Team India all-rounder Shivam Dube slammed the third-fastest T20I fifty by an Indian on Wednesday, January 28. The explosive left-handed batter achieved the milestone with his 15-ball half-century in the fourth T20I between India and New Zealand at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

His half-century came just a few days after Abhishek smashed the second-fastest T20I fifty in the third match against the Kiwis in Guwahati. Dube broke Hardik Pandya’s record of the third fastest fifty, who achieved the milestone in 16 balls against South Africa in 2025.

28 runs – Shivam Dube off Ish Sodhi in Vizag 2026

Dube was looking in solid touch, but got run out in the most bizarre way as Harshit hit the ball down the pitch and Henry stuck his right hand to stop it. The ball brushed his fingers and hit the wickets at the bowler’s end. Dube scored 65 runs off 23 balls, smashing three boundaries and seven maximums.

New Zealand beat India by 50 runs in fourth T20I

New Zealand have defeated India by 50 runs in the fourth T20I in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday, January 28. The Men in Blue are leading the five-match series by 3-1. The visitors had set a 216-run target after being asked to bat first. Tim Seifert scored 62 runs off 36 balls with the help of seven boundaries and three maximums. Daryl Mitchell played some big shots in the death over, scoring an unbeaten 39 runs off 18 balls to help the visitors post a massive total.

Chasing the target, the hosts got off to a poor start as Abhishek Sharma and skipper Suryakumar Yadav departed cheaply in the early overs. Sanju Samson (24 off 15) and Rinku Singh (39 off 30) got good starts but failed to convert them into big knocks. Shivam Dube played an explosive innings to keep India alive in the run chase, but got run out at the bowler’s end as the hosts bundled out for 165/10 in 18.4 overs.
