Haryana Weather: As soon as a new western disturbance became active in Haryana, the weather took a sudden turn on Tuesday. Hail occurred in 11 districts of the state, while rain was recorded in more than 15 districts. While mustard crop has been damaged due to hailstorm, wheat, gram and barley crops are expected to benefit from the rain.


The districts where hailstorm occurred included Hisar, Bhiwani, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Fatehabad, Charkhi Dadri, Ambala, Kaithal, Jind, Panipat and Yamunanagar. Among these, the impact of hailstorm was seen more in Hisar, Fatehabad and Bhiwani. Hail fell in about 200 villages of these areas, due to which white sheets of hail were spread in the fields at many places.


Mustard harmed, wheat safe


Mustard crop has been damaged due to hailstorm because it has flowers and pods at this time. At the same time, the ears of wheat have not yet emerged, hence the hail did not cause much damage to the wheat. Wheat, gram and barley crops are likely to benefit from the rain by providing them with moisture. The average minimum temperature of the state has been recorded at eight degrees Celsius.


Meteorological Department alert


The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding fog and cold wave in many districts.
Fog Alert: Panchkula, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Karnal, Sonipat, Panipat and Jind.
Cold wave alert: Mahendragarh, Rewari, Jhajjar, Gurugram, Mewat, Palwal, Faridabad, Rohtak, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Jind, Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri.

Heavy hailstorm occurred in Budak, Sarsana, Bandahedi, Khasa Mahajan, Ghudsal, Bagla and Kaliraman villages of Hisar district.


Hail fell in 13 villages including Moriwala, Ding and Shakkar Mandori of Nathusari Chowpata block of Sirsa, due to which mustard and wheat were damaged.


Hailstorm occurred in 16 villages including Jhajjar, Bahadurgarh and Pelpa of Badli block in Jhajjar district. According to the Agriculture Department, there has been a loss of about 15 percent to the crops here.


Hail fell in the morning in 10 villages including Badhra, Hanswas and Kadma of Badhra sub-division of Charkhi Dadri, there is a possibility of more damage to the mustard crop.


Light hailstorm was recorded in Bhaini Chandrapal, Bhaini Surjan, Saiman, Khedi, Bahalba and Bharan villages of Meham area of ​​Rohtak, where there was no significant damage to the crops.


Mustard was affected due to hailstorm in many villages of Uchana and Narwana areas of Jind. There is a possibility of hailstorm affecting the production of wheat and mustard in Dahman, Gorakhpur, Chindar, Kumhariya and Bhoda Hosnak villages of Fatehabad.


Light hailstorm occurred in Dayalpur and Barwa villages of Kurukshetra, while the cold increased again due to intermittent rain.
