Chhindwara: National trekking competition was organized amidst the hills of Patalkot. In this, trackers came from different states across the country. He stayed here for four days and took information about the climate of Patalkot and the precious herbs here.


15 trackers arrived from different areas across the country


Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, District Administration and India Hikes together organized a national level trekking program at Patalkot in Chhindwara. In which 15 people from different cities of the country participated. The trekkers had a wonderful experience of life by staying for four days amidst sand and stones, mountains and forests on the banks of river Dudhi in the depths of Patalkot. Trekked about 25 kilometers, here he also saw Gedi and Satam folk dance.


Effort to promote employment in Patalkot


Collector Harendra Narayan He told that, “To promote tourism and find new employment options, he met 15 trekkers from Nagpur, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Puducherry, Goa, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and other places to participate in the trekking organized on the initiative of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, District Administration and India Hikes at Chimtipur Base Camp. He told that the pleasant experience in trekking has brought the trekkers from all over the country closer to nature.” Trekkers told that the lush green forests of Patalkot region, the fog covered mountain peaks and the calm valleys of the mountains give peace to the soul. Trekking in a hilly area like Patalkot provided an opportunity to learn about the customs and traditional lifestyle of the place and get to know their culture and lifestyle closely. This experience not only increases our knowledge but also makes me a better person.


Resolved to conserve nature, plastic free program


Conservation of nature is very important, on this theme Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, District Administration and India Hikes had initiated this program to become plastic free. Which was greatly appreciated by all the trekkers. It becomes everyone’s collective responsibility not to spread plastic waste, not to harm trees and to save biodiversity. All trekkers tried to ensure that there is no harm to the environment during trekking. Plastic was not used at all and everyone has tried to teach the same to the trekkers coming with them.
