New Delhi. Famous Bollywood singer Arijit Singh has suddenly decided to retire from playback singing. This announcement has not only made his fans emotional but has also left a silence in the entire industry. Amidst the success of his recent chartbuster songs ‘Gahra Hua’, ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’ and ‘Matribhumi’, this news has proved to be shocking for everyone. Why did Arijit leave playback singing?

Arijit Singh was quite busy with his regular projects this year, but he has stopped signing new projects. He informed about this decision on social media, in which he also shared it on Instagram after his personal X account. In a tweet, Arijit gave several reasons behind this decision.

He said, “There is not one reason behind it, but many reasons. I was thinking of doing it for a long time and finally gathered the courage. I get bored easily, so I always present the same song in a new way on stage. I need to do something new so that I can live with creativity.”

Singer’s announcement stirs fans

Announcing his retirement, Arijit said, “Hello, everyone, Happy New Year. I want to thank you all for the love I have received over the years. You guys have given me so much love, for which I will always be grateful. I would like to say that now I will not be taking up any new assignments as a playback vocalist. It has been a wonderful journey for me.”

He further added, “God has been very kind to me. I will now focus on learning better music and improving myself as a small artiste. I have some pending commitments which I will fulfill. You may have some new releases this year. However, I am not giving up making music.”

Arijit’s ‘Matribhumi’ has become the last song of Salman Khan’s film ‘Battle of Galwan’. Information about his future projects has not been shared yet, but he will continue to perform in live shows and concerts and will also be active in independent music production.
