Before the arrival of February, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced bank holidays. According to the calendar of the Reserve Bank of India, banks will remain closed on weekly holidays, local festivals of states and the second and fourth Saturday of the month next month. Due to bank closure, many banking works including check book and pass book may get affected, however online services will continue so that you can work. ATM and debit card transactions will also remain operational.
Let us tell you that bank holidays in India include national holidays (gazetted holidays) and government holidays (state/centre). State government holidays vary from state to state, while central government holidays remain the same across the country. Also regional holidays are to a particular state or region. Just because a day is a holiday in one state does not mean that it will be a holiday in another state too.
