Mumbai, 27 January 2026: There is panic due to cylinder blast in Malvani area of ​​Mumbai. At least seven people have been injured in this incident, the condition of some of whom is said to be critical. All the injured have been admitted to the nearby hospital.

According to reports, a cylinder blast took place in a chamber near Bharat Mata School in Malwani area on Tuesday. The fire department was immediately informed. Mumbai Fire Brigade, along with the local police, reached the spot and brought the fire under control. According to preliminary information, the fire is believed to have started due to leakage in the gas cylinder, which resulted in the explosion. Seven people were injured.

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation officials had confirmed the incident and said that with the help of local people, they had come to shift the injured to the hospital. More investigation is going on. Meanwhile, so far eight people have died in the fire that broke out in a warehouse in Nazirabad, Kolkata. West Bengal Police reported on Tuesday that several others were still missing.

West Bengal Fire and Emergency Services Director General Ranveer Kumar visited the spot and assessed the situation. Speaking to the media, Ranveer Kumar had said that many rules were being violated including lack of fire clearance. He said that necessary action will be taken to control the fire.
