Tamil Nadu Deputy CM and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) leader Udhayanidhi Stalin has once again targeted Hindi in the name of language dispute. Udhayanidhi says that Hindi has swallowed many local and mother tongues. Referring to Haryana, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, he said that with the arrival of Hindi in these states, many mother tongues gradually disappeared. Now on his statement, Union Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L Murugan has said that Stalin and his family always talk about a separate country, separate state and separate language, this statement of theirs is condemnable and they should apologize for it.

Many people died during the language movement in Tamil Nadu in the 1930s. Veer Vanakkam Day is celebrated in his memory. On Sunday, Udhayanidhi Stalin had come to participate in one such program. Here he said that the movement regarding language, which started during the time of Periyar and Annadurai, is still going on with the same energy.

Speaking at a DMK meeting in Chennai North East district on Sunday, Udhayanidhi said, ‘Tamils ​​have a unique place in the history of the world because they lost their lives protecting their mother tongue. Many mother tongues spoken in states like Haryana, Bihar and UP disappeared after the arrival of Hindi. Hindi has become a language that swallows other languages. This is the reason why Tamil Nadu has always opposed the implementation of Hindi. Now many other states are also adopting Tamil Nadu’s stand for the rights of their language. Tamil Nadu will always oppose the imposition of Hindi, the New Education Policy and any such decision of the Central Government which will be forcibly implemented.

Now countering Udhayanidhi Stalin’s statement, Union Minister L Murugan has said, ‘His family always talks about a separate country, separate state and separate language. Our Prime Minister respects the pride of Tamil Nadu. He is organizing Kasi Tamil Sangamam and wherever he goes, he talks about Tamil literature. At the same time, DMK government has proved to be a failure. They just claim to protect Tamil language but they do nothing for Tamil people. They oppose development and also oppose Sanatan Dharma.

Murugan further says, ‘I condemn this statement of Udhayanidhi Stalin and he should apologize to the country for this. We all are brothers and sisters, one India is the best India. Students from Tamil Nadu go to AIIMS Bhopal, go to AIIMS Rishikesh and go to AIIMS across the country. The people of Tamil Nadu have now understood the fake propaganda of DMK and are desperate to oust these people from power.
