Bhojpuri cinema’s popular actor and singer Khesari Lal Yadav has openly reacted to the recent statement of co-star and MP Ravi Kishan. Speaking at a public event, Khesari said without taking names that attempts are constantly made to defame and corner him, but he stands strong every time.

What did Khesari say at Gorakhpur Mahotsav?

Khesari said that even if the platform belongs to someone else, his name is often discussed. He bluntly said that no ordinary conspiracy can bring down an artist who is respected by the public. Actually, during the Gorakhpur Mahotsav, Ravi Kishan had taunted Khesari Lal Yadav for touching his feet. During this, Bhojpuri actor Pawan Singh was also present on the stage and the entire statement was presented in a humorous manner.

Khesari responded by linking this comment to his self-respect. He said that respecting someone is a part of their values, but it does not mean that someone should start claiming rights over them. In an emotional tone, he said that his father’s name is Shri Mangroo Yadav and he cannot give the right to anyone else to call himself his ‘father’.

Khesari became emotional remembering his life full of struggle

Recalling his struggle-filled life, Khesari Lal Yadav said that he did not reach this position with any special recommendation or shortcut. He told that he started his career in very difficult circumstances and even worked in the houses of many big artists. Khesari said that he has seen poverty very closely and that struggle has made him stronger. He clarified that he has not reached here from any luxurious life, but has risen from the ground.

Despite this, Khesari maintained restraint and decency in his statement. He said that no matter how many things are said against him, he will not give up his values. He said that if they meet in future too, they will bow down and show respect because this is their upbringing. He also added that everyone should speak only as much as they can bear.

Referring to electoral politics, Khesari said that no matter what the results were, he has won the hearts of the people and this is his real victory. He stressed that his strength lies not in any godfather or political patronage, but in the millions of fans who still consider him their own.
