Padma Awards 2026: Padma Awards have been announced before Republic Day. The President has approved giving 131 Padma awards for the year 2026. In this list, along with many well-known names, there are also names of those people who work among the people in the society but they have not been able to get much recognition. These people include people from remote and backward areas. Late actor Dharmendra has been awarded Padma Vibhushan.

The President has approved giving 131 Padma awards for the year 2026. This includes five Padma Vibhushan, 13 Padma Bhushan and 113 Padma Shri awards. Among the awardees, 19 are women, while the list also includes six people in the categories of foreign nationals, non-resident Indians (NRIs), persons of Indian origin (PIO) and overseas citizens of India (OCI), along with 16 people honored posthumously.

He received Padma Award
. Late actor Dharmendra Singh Deol (posthumously) will be honored with Padma Vibhushan in the field of arts.
. Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Shibu Soren (posthumously) will be honored with Padma Bhushan in the field of public relations.
. Indian cricketers Rohit Sharma and Harmanpreet Kaur will be honored with Padma Shri in the field of sports.
