A video showing Hardik Pandya with former cricketer Murali Kartik became popular on social media after India achieved victory against New Zealand during their second T20I match which took place in Raipur on Friday. The fan who recorded the video from the stands said that the two had an "argument" which resulted in multiple people reacting on social media. The clip had no sound which prevented anyone from hearing the dialogue and resulted in fans making their own interpretations of the events.
The incident is believed to have happened before the start of the match. Hardik used his batting equipment to enter the field while he wore his practice kit. He walked toward Murali Kartik who was broadcasting. Both exchanged greetings and then started talking. Kartik seemed to explain something while Hardik listened.
At one point, Kartik used hand movements to attempt to calm Hardik down. The clip lacked sound which made it impossible to understand what the two speakers had discussed. Some fans called it an argument, while others said it looked like a normal chat between two professionals. Both parties involved in the incident have not released any information about what occurred.
