Gujarat Giants Women put on a masterclass performance, taking down UP Warriorz Women by 45 runs in Match 14 of the Women’s Premier League 2026 held in Vadodara. After being asked to bat first, Gujarat set a solid total of 153/8, largely thanks to a stellar innings from Sophie Devine. Although they lost early wickets that threatened to derail their momentum, Devine held the innings together, ensuring they surpassed the 150-run mark despite the constant loss of partners.

In response, UP Warriorz struggled right from the start, losing both openers cheaply. Phoebe Litchfield showed some promise with a score of 32, but wickets continued to tumble at the other end.

Gujarat’s bowlers were relentless, targeting the stumps and forcing mistakes, which made it tough for any partnerships to develop. Rajeshwari Gayakwad was particularly impressive during the middle overs, effectively dismantling the lower order.

Chloe Tryon fought valiantly with an unbeaten 30, but the Warriorz ultimately crumbled to 108 in just 17.3 overs, allowing Gujarat to secure the win and snap a three-match losing streak, propelling them from the bottom of the table to second place.
