Brits counting down the days until summer might want to escape the cold weather with a winter sunshine getaway. Thankfully, holidaymakers booking trips for February can choose between several 'hot and cheap' destinations.

For anyone seeking some inspiration, Rob Brooks, a travel enthusiast and influencer with the travel company On The Beach, has shared his top recommendations. Popular for sharing budget-friendly travel advice on social media, he regularly posts holiday ideas on TikTok, where he goes by the username @Robonthebeach.

In a recent post, he shared a video titled: "Where I'd go for a hot, cheap holiday in February." Rob said: "February is a bit of a holiday hack. It's freezing at home, demand is still low, and a lot of destinations are secretly amazing, both price-wise and weather-wise.

"So I've looked at the February weather, the booking trends and the live pricing, and I've picked out the four places I genuinely recommend this February for a warm, good-value holiday next month."

In fourth place, Rob voted for Gran Canaria. "To be honest, you could pick any one of the Canary Islands in February, but Gran Canaria seems to deliver every single winter. You're looking at temperatures in the 20s, plenty of sunshine and days that are warm enough to sit outside without reaching for a jumper," he said.

Moving on to his third pick, Rob chose Hurghada. "If you want heat you can actually feel in February, then this is where things step up, pushing up to 25 degrees. Hurghada has blue skies every day and red sea water that's definitely warm enough to swim in."

Rob said his second place was 'a bit of a wild card', but he asked viewers to trust him after naming Orlando as his recommendation. He said: "Trust me on this one, the value in Orlando this February is nuts, especially for families.

"And to be honest, February is one of the best months to go to Orlando. It's warm but not sticky, there's loads of sunshine, and perfect for theme parks, shopping and pool days."

He concluded: "In first place, I've gone for Morocco because, honestly, it's turned into one of my favourite winter sun destinations in the last few years. And Morocco in February is bang on.

"Heat up 25 degrees, sunny days, clear skies, cooler evenings and none of the intense summer heat. Plus, in Marrakech, you mix in holiday with city, which means there's loads to do."

Rob added: "Now this is why Morocco wins for me in winter. Great weather, great food, loads of culture and prices that feel like a bit of a steal. City break energy but sunshine guaranteed.

"So there you go. Four places I genuinely recommend in February for a hot, good-value holiday. All warm, all affordable and all much better than sitting in 20 hours of darkness back home."
