O’Romeo trailer launch: The trailer launch of O’Romeo in Mumbai on Wednesday (January 21) turned into a talking point even before the visuals dropped. While the event brought together the film’s cast and crew, reports quickly emerged suggesting that veteran actor Nana Patekar exited the venue abruptly and this has fuelled speculation around what really went down.

The launch saw lead stars Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri arriving hand in hand, drawing attention from fans and photographers alike. Director Vishal Bhardwaj was also present, interacting with the media ahead of the trailer reveal. Nana Patekar, who plays a pivotal role in the film, was spotted earlier at the venue, dressed in his signature kurta-pyjama.

Nana Patekar leaves O’Romeo trailer launch abruptly

However, social media accounts claiming to be present at the event alleged that Patekar left before the official trailer launch. According to online chatter, the actor reportedly waited for nearly one-and-a-half hours for Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri to arrive. When the delay stretched longer than expected, he is said to have exited the venue without staying back for the full event.

That said, visuals from inside the launch paint a slightly different picture. Photos and videos circulating online show Nana Patekar posing for the shutterbugs and interacting with Vishal Bhardwaj before leaving. Notably, he has not been seen in any pictures alongside Shahid or Triptii from the event so far, which has only added to the curiosity.

Despite the speculation, there has been no official confirmation from Nana Patekar or the O’Romeo team about him walking out due to the delay. In fact, the actor shared the O’Romeo trailer on his Instagram story shortly after its release and also posted it on his feed, signalling his support for the film.

Sources close to the event suggest there could be a simpler explanation. It is entirely possible that Nana Patekar had another professional commitment scheduled, forcing him to leave early. With packed calendars and overlapping events being common in the industry, such exits aren’t unusual, even if they attract attention.
