Indian Railway: As the festival of Holi is approaching, the desire to return home is increasing in the minds of people living in other cities. Everyone wants to celebrate the festival of colors with their loved ones, but this time the condition of the Railways seems to be increasing the problems for the passengers.
Usually, the crowd in trains increases 10-15 days before Holi, but this time the situation is completely different. There is still about one and a half month left in the festival, despite this, it has become difficult to get confirmed tickets in mail, express and superfast trains running from Jaipur.
According to railway information, the pressure of passengers is highest in trains going to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Assam. Those traveling between February 25 and March 5 are facing a lot of trouble in booking tickets. There are long waiting lists in many trains, from sleeper to third AC. On some routes, online booking has been completely stopped, due to which the worries of the passengers have increased.
Due to not getting confirmed seats in regular trains, passengers’ hopes are now pinned on Holi special trains. However, no concrete announcement about special trains has been made by the Railways till now.
Apart from this, due to fog, the frequency of many trains has been reduced till 28th February, which is putting additional pressure on the existing trains. The situation is expected to worsen in the coming days.
Passengers say that similar situations arise every year on big festivals like Holi, Diwali and Chhath. If they do not get confirmed tickets, people are forced to buy expensive Tatkal tickets or are forced to travel by bus and private means.
Passengers suggest that if Railways announces special trains in advance, the crowd during festivals can be controlled to a great extent.
If you are planning to go home on Holi, then do not delay in ticket booking at all. Also, keep an eye on the information about special trains announced by the Railways, so that last-minute problems can be avoided.
