Telugu superstar Prabhas recently returned to the big screen with horror-comedy The RajaSaab directed by Maruthi. The movie opened to dismal reviews and failed to attract the audience to the theatres.

Made on a reported budget of around Rs 400 crore, The RajaSaab has made only Rs 150 crore around in seven days and is expected to be among the biggest disasters of Indian cinema.

Since the release of Baahubali movies, Prabhas hasn’t been able to live up to those expectations with most of his movies turning out to be box office underperformers and disasters.

However, it looks like his forthcoming movie Spirit will turn out to be a massive comeback for the Telugu star and the major reason behind it is its filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

While many were expecting that the much-anticipated movie will be out in 2026, the Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial will be out in theatres on March 5, 2027.

Sharing the same, Prabhas wrote on Instagram, “Spirit is set for a World release on March 5, 2027. @sandeepreddy.vanga”.

Reacting to the release date, one social media user pointed out how it’s a perfect release date for Spirit. The user wrote, “History In Making. Spirit Release timeline (1 Month longrun guaranteed with bunch of holidays if film is good) 5th March - Release Day (Friday), 6th March - Maha Shivaratri, 7th March – Sunday, 10th March - Ramzan (Wednesday), 13th - 14th March – weekend, 22nd March - Holi (Monday), 26th March - Good Friday and 27th - 28th March - weekend”.

Besides Prabhas and Triptii Dimri, Spirit also stars Vivek Oberoi and Prakash Raj. There are also rumours that the movie may also feature South Korean superstar Don Lee.
