Hayley Jensen made her debut for New Zealand women’s team in ODI and T20 formats against West Indies in 2014. After being selected in the team for the T20 World Cup in 2018, she became a regular for the team. He played a total of 88 matches for New Zealand, which includes 35 ODIs and 53 T20s. During this period, he scored 1988 runs and took 76 wickets.
“After coming back from my first cricket tournament when I was 10, I decided I wanted to be part of the New Zealand cricket team. That dream has come true, and I’m forever grateful,” Hayley Jensen said in a statement to New Zealand Cricket.
She continued, “This journey has been amazing, it has had many challenges, I have learned a lot, had memorable experiences and most of all, I have had amazing colleagues. This decision has not been easy, but I feel in my heart that the time has come. I am proud of what we have achieved together.”
Hayley Jensen was part of the 2022 Women’s ODI World Cup in New Zealand. He also played in four T20 World Cups in 2014, 2018, 2020 and 2023. In 2020, in his very first match against Sri Lanka, he won the title of ‘Player of the Match’ by taking 3 wickets. She was also a core member of the New Zealand team at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games. There he took 3 wickets in the medal match against England and helped the team win the bronze medal.
