In a recent episode of Aap Ki AdalatIndian boxing legend and politician Mary Kom made startling allegations against her ex-husband, Karun Onler. The couple separated after 18 years of marriage, with their divorce finalised on December 20, 2023.

When asked about Onler’s sacrifices, Mary claimed that he was never a breadwinner. “What successful career? He used to play football in the streets. Subah shaam sotaa rehta tha,” she stated.

Mary further revealed that Onler “cheated and ditched” her, claiming his true nature surfaced following her career-ending injury before the 2022 Commonwealth Games. She alleges he withdrew Rs. 10 lakhs from her account without permission and eventually drained crores of her savings.

Karung Onler refused these claims, stating that he was a contracted footballer and a UPSC aspirant who sacrificed his career to support Mary’s passion. “I was her driver. I was her cook. I lived like her slave, but in my eyes it was all for love,” he responded.

He also denied the Rs. 5 crores fraud allegations, instead accusing Mary of extra-marital affairs with a junior boxer and a staff member, claiming to have WhatsApp evidence.

While Mary Kom maintains she is a victim of financial betrayal, Onkholer challenges her to provide legal proof, noting he currently lives in a rented home in Delhi.
