Actor N S Harindrakumar, known for his titular role in the political satire series Munshi , passed away. The actor, popularly known as Munshi Hari, has reportedly collapsed on the road on his way home in Thiruvananthapuram on 5th January.





As per the updates, the locals saw Hari lying unconscious in the road, and he was rushed to the hospital. Though he was taken to the Thiruvannathapuram Medical College, doctors declared him dead.





Harindrakumar became a household name with his character Motta in the popular satire Munshi. His iconic look with a shaved head and holding a chicken is still fresh in the minds of every Malayali. He also has the Guinness World Records for being a part of Munshi for over 18 years.





For the unversed, Munshi is one of the popular short satire series on Malayalam TV . The series sarcastically portrays day-to-day affairs and social situations. Centered around the main protagonist Munshi, the series had memorable characters like the President, Thirumeni, Kariyachan, Hajiyar, and others. Notably, the series also holds the record of being the longest-running series on Malayalam TV margin over 5000 plus episodes.
