Emmerdale legend Danny Miller has jokingly shared his axe fears after leaking his character Aaron Dingle’s “new look”.

The actor shot to fame playing Aaron, making his debut in 2008. Since then, he’s become a firm favourite with fans and has been involved in several big moments.

From his romance with Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) to being involved in the recent epic Corriedale episode, Aaron’s time on the soap has not been short of drama.

And recently, actor Danny gave fans a sneak peek at Aaron’s new smarter look for 2026 - but Danny quickly followed up with a post to clear things up “in fear of losing my job”.

Taking to his Instagram Story on Tuesday (January 13) Danny shared a video of himself in his Emmerdale dressing room. Standing in front of a mirror, he said: “So this year I said it’s a new year, it’s a new me. Therefore, it’s a new Aaron as well.

“So costume said ‘Well, can we try something with you?’ and I said ‘Yeah let’s do it’. And they said ‘Do you fancy a new smarter Aaron, still in black of course’. And their response was this.”

Danny then turned the camera around to show himself wearing a black high-neck jumper and a quilted bomber jacket. He quipped: “It’s not a turtle neck. I’m assured it’s not a turtle neck.”

Danny then joked: “I suppose you could call it a ‘turneck’ and a ‘tulneck’.” Referring to his outfit, Danny added: “You can catch this live on ITV and ITVX sometime in February. But anyway do you like it?”

However, in the next Instagram Story Danny set things straight. Walking to the soap's set he told his followers: “Just in fear of losing my job, I’d thought I’d better tell you it’s not live, just a disclaimer.”

Then talking about Aaron’s new look, he said: “It’s not a turtle neck, I’ve got a turteneck on it. It’s half a turtle for those who didn’t get the joke. I’m on the way to the studio and I’m excited to show everyone the new Aaron,” before quipping: “Nobody will notice and nobody will care.”
