The government has taken a big decision keeping in mind the safety of delivery buses. The Labor Ministry has banned 10-minute delivery. Regarding this, the department has also talked to the country's major online delivery companies like Swiggy, Zomato.
On this issue, Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had talked to the officials of Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy and Zomato and talked about removing the time limit for delivery. All the companies assured the government that they will remove the delivery time limit from their brand ads on social media. After this, Blinkit has removed the provision of delivery within 10 minutes from all its brands.
There was a big strike of gig workers in the country on 25th December and 31st December, after which the talk about their safety started. Now, keeping this in mind, the government has taken a big decision. Because in the pursuit of 10 minutes delivery, many such cases were coming to light, where delivery partners go fast to deliver the goods quickly and become victims of accidents. But this is not going to happen now.
After repeated interventions, Union Labor Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has convinced large delivery aggregators to remove the mandatory 10-minute delivery deadline.
