WhatsApp is preparing to introduce a new feature to make the chat experience of its users easier and faster. Under this feature, users will see sticker suggestions only while typing the message. This means that now there will be no need to go to the separate sticker section to find the right sticker during a conversation.

This new feature is currently made available to a limited number of iOS users in the latest beta version of WhatsApp. Earlier this feature was seen in testing for Android users. This clearly indicates that WhatsApp can launch it for all users soon.

Trying to make chat faster

This new sticker suggestion feature of WhatsApp has been designed with the aim of making chat more intuitive and faster. Now users will be able to send stickers just by typing the message directly like Snapchat. Where earlier one had to open the sticker tray to send a sticker, now that hassle is about to end. This change will especially benefit those people who use more stickers and emoji in conversations. Without stopping the chat, emotions can be expressed instantly through stickers.

How the sticker suggestion feature works

According to reports to beta testing, this feature works in real time. As soon as a user enters an emoji while typing a message, WhatsApp starts recognizing the sticker to the meaning of that emoji. If the system finds a suitable sticker, it shows a suggestion for the sticker next to where you type the text. The user can send that sticker in just one tap. This makes the entire process of sending stickers much shorter and easier.

This feature can prove to be very useful for those users who like to express their views through stickers instead of typing long messages. This feature will help in saving time especially during quick conversations, group chats and casual chatting. Having sticker suggestions appear directly in the typing area helps keep conversations moving and prevent any interruptions.

Who is currently getting this update?

Currently, this sticker suggestion feature is available only to select beta users on both iOS and Android platforms. WhatsApp has not yet given any fixed date for its public launch. However, if we look at the old updates of WhatsApp, the company usually releases such features gradually for all users after beta testing.
