Delhi FSL Jobs 2026: The Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), under the Home Department of the Delhi Government, has announced new recruitment for the year 2026. A total of 45 positions for Junior Scientific Officer and Junior Scientific Assistant will be filled on a contractual basis. Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications to the Head of the FSL Rohini office in person or via registered/speed post by 5:00 PM on January 15, 2026.
Who can apply?
For the Junior Scientific Assistant (Biology) position, candidates must have a postgraduate degree in Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, or Forensic Science. Candidates with a BE or B. Tech in Biotechnology is also eligible to apply. No prior experience is required for this position, so fresh graduates can also apply.
For the Junior Scientific Officer position, candidates must have a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject such as Chemistry, Physics, or Biology. They must also have at least 3 years of research or investigative experience in the relevant field. This experience is considered essential for this position.
How will the selection be made?
The selection process for the Delhi FSL Recruitment 2026 will follow a defined procedure. First, the received applications will be scrutinized, checking the candidate's educational qualifications and necessary documents. Eligible candidates will then be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience.
Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview at FSL Rohini. Original documents will be verified during the interview. The final selection will be subject to the candidate's medical fitness.
When will the walk-in interview be held?
The walk-in interview for the selected candidates for Delhi FSL Recruitment 2026 will be held at FSL, Rohini, Delhi. Candidates must arrive by 9:30 AM on their scheduled interview day. Interviews for the Chemistry, Biology, and Cyber Forensics departments of JSA and the Chemistry and Biology departments of JSO will be held on January 28, 2026. Interviews for the Ballistics and Physics departments of JSA and the Ballistics and Physics departments of JSO will be conducted on January 29, 2026.
Salary Details
Upon selection in this recruitment, Junior Scientific Assistants (JSA) will receive a fixed salary of ₹42,632 per month. Junior Scientific Officers (JSO) will be paid according to the prevailing contractual rules, which were previously approximately ₹68,697 per month.
