Alan Carr has shed light on Amanda Holden's personality off-camera and compared her to "Superwoman". Alan's revelations emerged in a recent instalment of his travel-themed podcast, Life's A Beach (January 9), in which the Celebrity Traitors winner chatted with Kelly Brook about her time in the I'm a Celeb jungle.

In one segment, Alan asked Kelly what her husband, Jeremy Parisi, was like on holiday. She replied that she tends to opt for a "road trip" with "lots of different places", meaning Jeremy will usually be on driving duties.

She explained that he found a trip to the Maldives more relaxing, as Alan suggested that Kelly finds it "hard to switch off". Alan pointed out that her role as a radio host may contribute before noting that the same was true of his close pal, Amanda Holden, who he says wants to "make the most" of her time off.

He said: "That's why she's like Superwoman, you know, 'Let's do this, let's do this, let's do this". Kelly asked if the Heart FM host was similar in that respect, to which Alan replied: "Oh my God, yeah.

"Give (her) a rosé just to calm her down. 'Let's sit here and have a rosé'. 'Let's do a TikTok dance!' 'No, let's just have a rosé. Let's just sit here. Let's not jump about'."

In further insights about the dynamic he shares with her, Alanjoked to the Radio Times that in a "world of celebrity and stuff" that can include people who are "quite up themselves", he initially thought Amanda was "one of them".

Amanda, best known for her role as a judge on Britain's Got Talent, burst into laughter beside her friend, as he clarified that she was just like him, describing her as a "female version" of himself.

It comes after a journalistshared how she'd gained insightinto Amanda's character when she met her at an event in London's Bardo.

She described how Amandamade a "show-stopping entrance" in what was described as a "tight-fitting glittering gown" alongside a group of dancers "holding feather fans", and the media personality would go on to show her "true colours".

The Express' Rebecca Jones wrote: "To my pleasant surprise, Amanda was just as vibrant and chatty as she comes across on television and on the radio (which was a relief)."

She added: "I'm glad she came across as she does on television and was impressed with how much time she gave everyone who approached her, showing such warmth and kindness.

"Whether she's just a showbiz professional or genuinely loves to network and mingle, Amanda made all those in attendance feel welcome."
