Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has given a great news to its customers. The company has announced that it will pass on the full benefit of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) exemption to its customers. Under this, the prices of Hyundai cars and SUVs will be reduced by up to Rs 2.4 lakh. These new prices will be applicable from September 22, 2025, which will bring joy to customers just before the festive season.

What changed in GST?

The government has reduced GST on small cars from 28% to 18%. A small car is one whose length is less than 4 meters and whose engine is up to 1,200 cc (petrol) or 1,500 cc (diesel). However, cars larger than 4 meters and engines larger than 1.2 liter (petrol) or 1.5 liter (diesel) will now attract 40% GST, but no additional cess will be charged as before.
