The Indian actress Khushi Mukherjee faced a massive defamation lawsuit worth INR 100 crores after claiming that the Indian cricketer Suryakumar Yadav used to contact her a lot. However, the defamation case was filed by a fan from Yadav's homestate Uttar Pradesh.

Faizal Ansari, a resident from Uttar Pradesh's Ghaziabad, has filed a defamation case against Mukherjee, saying that the actress's unsubstantiated claims tainted the cricketer's image. Notably, last year in a media event, Khushi claimed that Surya had connections with her for a long time.

Surya used to "message her a lot"; however, she clarified that the two are no longer in contact and she has no interest in romantic relationships with him. Well, her remark created a massive controversy. Her comments created massive controversy among the netizens, questioning the cricketer's image.

Ansari, being one of the fans of Surya, filed the case at the Ghaziapur Police station asking the Ghazipur SP Dr. Iraj Raja, to immediately arrest the actress. Ansari accused Khusi of making false claims with the intention of tarnishing Surya's reputation.

However, neither the cricketer nor the actress made a remark on this.

The Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav and his wife devisha Shetty is a widely loved couple in the Indian cricket fraternity. The duo got married after years of dating, on 2016, July.

As per reports, they met each other around 2010, when Shetty was studying at the R.A. poddar College of Commerce & Economics. As said, Surya got impressed by her Bharatnatyam skills, and she liked his batting skills. In the show "Who's The Boss?" hosted by the former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh and his wife, Geeta Basra, Surya said how he literally checked out Shretty from near her college.

Suryaumar and Devisha later became friends, which turned into courtship before getting married in Mumbai. The duo, in multiple outlets, claimed how Surya helped in Devisha's choreography career and how Devisha helped him in his cricketing career.
