Chennai, January 12: The EOS-N1 satellite has been designed for the services of the Defense Research and Development Organization of the Central Government. This satellite will be launched into space today by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) through PSLV-C62 rocket from the second launch pad of Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota in Tirupati district of Andhra Pradesh. Along with this, co-passenger satellites are also being sent, which have been developed by many start-up companies in India and abroad. The 24-hour countdown process for this mission started at 10.17 am yesterday. In view of the rocket launch, fishermen from Tiruvallur district near Sriharikota have been requested by Fisheries Department officials not to go out into the sea for fishing today. The work to integration of PSLV-C62 rocket and satellites has been completed. Under this mission, a total of 17 commercial satellites of companies and research institutes of India, Mauritius, Luxembourg, United Arab Emirates, Singapore, Europe and America are also being sent into space. ISRO scientists are continuously keeping a close watch on the activities of all stages of the rocket and satellites.
