Rajkot, 11 January. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for Kutch and Saurashtra region at Marwari University in Rajkot, Gujarat. In his address on this occasion, PM Modi said, ‘When the stage of Vibrant Gujarat Summit is set, I do not see it as just a summit. I see this as the journey of modern India of the 21st century, which started with a dream and today has reached an unbreakable belief.

‘I have been associated with the vision of Vibrant Gujarat Summit since day one’

PM Modi said, ‘This journey of Vibrant Gujarat in two decades has become a global benchmark. I have been associated with the vision of Vibrant Gujarat Summit since day one. This journey has started by bowing my head at the feet of Somnath Dada. I don’t see any summit in Vibrant Summit. Now Vibrant Summit has moved forward. It has had 10 editions. The number of global partners is continuously increasing. This summit has become a great example of global growth.

He said that it has become a platform for global growth partnership. Now Vibrant Summit has gone ahead with the investment. Gujarat means development as well as heritage. A lot has happened at Vibrant Summit in the last two decades. This summit turns potential into reality.

‘We are moving forward by focusing on the possibilities’

Prime Minister Modi said, ‘We are moving forward by focusing on the possibilities. Cooperative sector is also active in Gujarat. We are moving forward keeping in mind the possibilities of every sector. India is moving towards becoming the world’s largest economy. Today India is the largest manufacturing country in the world. Today India has the third largest ecosystem in the world. India has made a lot of progress in the last few years. Today global institutions are bullish on India. IMF shows India as an engine of global growth.

India is the world’s fastest growing major economy

He said that the world’s expectations from India are increasing. India is the fastest growing large economy in the world. Inflation is under control. Making new records in agricultural production. Number one in milk production. Number one in generic medicine production. The country that produces the most vaccines in the world is India.

‘Saurashtra and Kutch are those areas of Gujarat which teach us to deal with challenges’

PM Modi further said, ‘Saurashtra and Kutch are those areas of Gujarat, which teach us that no matter how big the challenge is, if you work honestly and hard, you will definitely get success. This Kutch has seen earthquakes. There was drought in Saurashtra. People had to go kilometers away for water. There were difficulties everywhere. Today the youth have only heard the stories of that time. People were not ready to stay in Kutch and Saurashtra for long. But, history is witness and times change. The people of Saurashtra and Kutch change their destiny through hard work.
