The Railway Ministry said that out of these, the speed of 376 trains was increased by 5 to 15 minutes, the speed of 105 trains was increased by 16 to 30 minutes, the speed of 48 trains was increased by 31 to 59 minutes and the speed of 20 trains was increased by 60 minutes or more.

According to the ministry, South Western Railways made a major contribution in increasing the speed, among the trains whose speed was increased, the speed of 66 trains was improved by 5-15 minutes, the speed of 29 trains was improved by 16-30 minutes, the speed of 12 trains was improved by 31-59 minutes and the speed of 10 trains was improved by 60 minutes or more.

Central Railway increased the speed of 13 trains

Central Railway improved the speed of 13 trains by 5 to 15 minutes, 13 trains by 16-30 minutes and 4 trains by 31 to 59 minutes. East Coast Railway increased the speed of 2 trains from 5 to 15 minutes and 1 train from 16 to 30 minutes. East Central Railway increased the speed of 7 trains by 5 to 15 minutes, 2 trains by 1630 minutes, 2 trains by 31–59 minutes and 1 train by 60 minutes or more. Whereas, Eastern Railway also increased the speed of 29 trains by 5–15 minutes and 3 trains by 16 to 30 minutes.

Northern Railway also changed the speed

North Central Railway improved the speed of 1 train by 5 to 15 minutes. North Eastern Railway increased the speed of 9 trains by 5–15 minutes and 3 trains by 16–30 minutes. Northeast Frontier Railway improved the speed of 20 trains by 5 to 15 minutes, 10 trains by 16 to 30 minutes, 3 trains by 31–59 minutes and 3 trains by 60 minutes or more. Northern Railway increased the speed of 22 trains by 5–15 minutes and 2 trains by 16–30 minutes. North Western Railway slowed down 67 trains by 5–15 minutes, 14 trains by 16–30 minutes, 7 trains by 31–59 minutes and 1 train by more than 60 minutes

South East Central Railway increased the speed of 9 trains by 5–15 minutes and 2 trains by 16–30 minutes. Southern Railway improved the speed of 53 trains by 5–15 minutes, 10 trains by 16–30 minutes, 9 trains by 31–59 minutes and 3 trains by more than 60 minutes. West Central Railway increased the speed of 25 trains by 5–15 minutes, 1 train by 16–30 minutes and 1 train by 31–59 minutes. Western Railways increased the speed of 53 trains by 5–15 minutes, 15 trains by 16–30 minutes, 10 trains by 31–59 minutes and 2 trains by 60 minutes or more.
