Actually, Kolkata Knight Riders were asked by BCCI to release Bangladesh player Mustafizur Rahman from their team before the upcoming IPL. In response to which Bangladesh has refused to travel to India for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. Regarding which Tamim Iqbal had given his reaction during an interview. Now, after Nazmul Islam accused Tamim of being an Indian agent, Bangladesh Cricketers Welfare Association (CWAB) has expressed a strong reaction.

CWB on Friday said it has written a letter to the BCB president demanding action against the director after his public apology. “A comment made by BCB Director M Nazmul Islam about former national captain Tamim Iqbal has come to the attention of the Bangladesh Cricketers’ Welfare Association (CWAB). We are shocked, shocked and angered by this,” the association said in a statement.

“Such comments by a board official about the most successful opener in the history of Bangladesh, who represented the country for 16 years, are completely condemnable. Not only as it pertains to a player like Tamim, but such comments about any cricketer in the country are unacceptable and an insult to the entire cricket community,” the CWB said. He said, “We strongly oppose this comment. When a responsible board director makes such comments in a public forum, it also raises serious questions on the code of conduct of board officials.”

The statement further read, “We have already submitted a protest letter to the BCB President, demanding a public apology from the board director concerned and holding him accountable. We are hopeful that the BCB President will take appropriate action as soon as possible.” Several Bangladeshi cricketers, including Taskin Ahmed, Mominul Haq and Taijul Islam, also expressed their displeasure on social media.
