The social thinking and public welfare policies of Somnath Temple Trust have given a new direction to the lives of hundreds of women.

A total of 906 employees are currently serving in the Somnath Temple Trust, out of which 262 women are performing important responsibilities in various departments. This partnership is not limited to statistics, but reflects the Trust's commitment to providing equal opportunities to women and promoting them into leadership.

Responsibility of Bilva Van in the hands of women

The operation of the sacred Bilva forest situated in the temple premises is completely in the hands of women power. The 16 women working here are handling the responsibilities of environmental protection, green development and cleanliness. This initiative is not only an example of environmental balance but also highlights the efficiency and dedication of women.

65 women are serving in faith related work like distribution of Prasad in Somnath temple. At the same time, in the temple restaurant, 30 women serve food to thousands of devotees with a spirit of service. These women are playing an important role in keeping the service tradition of the temple alive.

363 women got permanent employment

A total of 363 women have got direct employment through Somnath Temple Trust. The combined annual income of these women is approximately Rs 9 crore, which clearly shows the positive change in their economic independence and standard of living. This income is not only empowering their families but also contributing to the broader development of the society.
