With the aim of making the upcoming Mahashivratri festival historic, religious activities have gained momentum in Obra Nagar. In this sequence, an important meeting of Mahakal Seva Samiti was organized on Thursday in the Ram Mandir complex located at Obra. In the meeting, a comprehensive action plan was prepared to make this year’s Shiva procession unprecedented and grand. Committee officials said during the discussion that the festival of Mahashivratri is a symbol of the faith of the people of Obra.

This time, specially prepared tableaux will be the center of attraction in the Shiva procession. Bhajan-kirtan groups and the echo of traditional musical instruments will make the entire city Shiva-like. In view of the huge crowd of devotees, special brainstorming was done on the route of the procession and security arrangements. During the meeting, the committee officials accepted their new responsibilities and resolved to make the event a success.

President Ramnaresh Agrahari, Acting President Satish Pandey, Patron Dhurandhar Sharma, Vice President Ashutosh Singh and JP Singh, Treasurer Sushil Kushwaha, Ministers Sarvesh Dubey and Nitesh, Organization Minister Pankaj Gautam, Committee Chairman Ramnaresh Agrahari appealed to the residents of the city and said that they should participate enthusiastically in this religious ritual. He clarified that the volunteers of the committee will be ready to maintain discipline during the event and security arrangements will be ensured by coordinating with the local administration.

Acting President Satish Pandey said that along with the grandeur of the procession, full care will be taken of the basic arrangements like convenience and drinking water of the devotees. Obra Mandal President Shivnath Jaiswal, former Nagar Panchayat President Umashankar Singh, Sunil Singh, Sameer Mali, Anand Tripathi, Vijay Vishwakarma, Raj Narayan Pramod Jain, Krishnakant Tripathi were present in the meeting.
