Nowadays, due to changing lifestyle, increasing screen time and stress, many people have started complaining of pain in the eyes and forehead. Sometimes this pain is mild and sometimes it is so severe that even daily work becomes difficult. Some people feel pain as soon as they wake up in the morning, while others feel pain after looking at mobile or laptop for a long time. Many times people ignore it considering it to be normal fatigue, but persistent pain can also be a sign of some internal problem. When there is swelling or infection in the sinuses, pain like heaviness and pressure is felt in the forehead, root of the nose and around the eyes. Migraine is also a major reason for this, in which severe pain in one part of the head as well as in the eyes, nausea, vomiting and bright light can cause problems.
Apart from this, weakness of eyes, wrong number of glasses or eye strain caused by watching the screen for a long time also increases this pain. In some cases, high blood pressure, dehydration and excessive stress can also cause persistent pain in the eyes and forehead. Due to lack of sleep, this problem can become more serious with burning sensation in the eyes, heaviness and headache.
This pain often increases after using mobile, laptop or watching TV for a long time. Sinus patients may feel more pain in the morning. Stress, lack of sleep and exposure to strong sunlight can also increase the pain. It can be more dangerous for children, elderly and people already suffering from migraine or eye disease.
If pain is accompanied by blurred vision, vomiting, high fever or swelling in the eyes, it is important to immediately consult a doctor.
Drink adequate amount of water daily, so that dehydration does not occur in the body.
Avoid excessive use of the screen and give rest to the eyes in between.
Wear the right number of glasses and get your eyes checked from time to time.
Protect yourself from cold, dust and pollution, take special care if you have sinus problems.
Get enough sleep and adopt yoga or meditation to reduce stress.
