New Delhi: Triumph Motorcycles has increased the prices of its 400cc bikes in India from January 1, 2026. The Triumph Speed 400 is now more expensive after the company revised prices across its model range. The main reason behind this hike is the higher GST applied to motorcycles with engine capacities above 350 cc, along with rising manufacturing costs. Until the end of 2025, Triumph was absorbing this extra tax and offering festive pricing, but that support has now ended.

Last year, the GST rules were changed, leading to higher taxes on motorcycles with engines above 350 cc. However, the brand has not increased their bike prices immediately and instead absorbed the extra tax during 2025. However, with the start of 2026, the company has decided to transfer this cost to buyers, which explains the revised prices. Though the brand has only increased the price, the powertrain remains unchanged.

Triumph Speed 400: New prices

The Speed 400 has seen one of the highest price increases among Triumph’s 400cc models. Earlier, the bike was priced at around Rs 2.34 lakh (ex-showroom). After the revision, its price has gone up to Rs 2.39 lakh, which means an increase of about Rs 5,000.

The Speed T4 has received a smaller hike in comparison. Its price has increased by just under Rs 2,500 and now stands at Rs 1.95 lakh (ex-showroom). These changes are part of a wider price adjustment across Triumph’s India lineup following the updated tax structure.

Triumph Scrambler range: New prices

Prices of the Scrambler models have also gone up slightly. Both the Scrambler 400 X and the Scrambler 400 XC have received a hike of just under Rs 2,300. After the revision, the Scrambler 400 X is priced at Rs 2.70 lakh, while the Scrambler 400 XC now costs Rs 2.97 lakh.

The Thruxton 400, which is the newest model in Triumph’s 400cc range, has also become more expensive. Launched at Rs 2.74 lakh, its price has increased by around Rs 2,300, taking it to Rs 2.76 lakh (ex-showroom).
