Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is going to create history by making a great start to the year 2026. ISRO will launch the EOS-N1 satellite on January 12, 2026, via the country’s trusted PSLV rocket. It will be sent from the first launch pad of Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. This mission has been named PSLV-C62. ISRO has given this information on social media platform X.

Let us tell you that January 12 is going to be a very special day for ISRO because on this day ISRO will send a total of 19 satellites into space with the help of PSLV rocket. These include 18 payloads from India as well as many other countries of the world. This mission will prove India’s spying power and technical capability to the whole world. This launch is a big step for India’s space programme.

Now all eyes of the world are on the launch pad of Sriharikota when ISRO will wish the world a New Year with its new mission. This is ISRO’s overall 101st orbital mission. The EOS-N1 satellite will observe the Earth and help in areas such as weather information, disaster management and agriculture. This mission also shows India’s space diplomacy.

ISRO’s big missions in the year 2026

The year 2026 is very important for ISRO because ISRO will complete its 7 missions by March 2026. This includes ambitious missions like uncrewed robotic tests and planetary exploration. ISRO Chairman V Narayanan said India is on its way from being a regional player to becoming a major global space power. He said this in a statement after the recent successful LVM3-M6 mission. The LVM3-M6 mission was the sixth operational flight of the Launch Vehicle Mark-III.

India’s trusted PSLV

India launches most of its missions with the help of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV). PSLV is considered to be India’s most reliable rocket. Missions like Chandrayaan-1 and Mars Orbiter have been completed with the help of PSLV. India has successfully launched many satellites into space before. This time, 18 co-passenger payloads are also being sent in the mission. These payloads are for different countries and institutions.

India has already sent several satellites simultaneously

India has launched 104 satellites simultaneously from Sriharikota on 15 February 2017 with the help of reliable rocket PSLV-C37. Of the 103 co-passenger nano-satellites, 101 were from international customers (such as the United States, Netherlands, Switzerland, etc.) and two were from India.
