Tata Motors is all set to launch the new avatar of its most popular micro-SUV ‘Punch’ in the Indian market. The company has officially released the first teaser video of its facelift version, in which a glimpse of the updated exterior design of the car has been seen. This car is going to be launched on 13th January. Let us tell you that Punch is currently one of the best selling cars of the brand and it was first launched in 2021.
The muscular and ‘macho’ look of the car is seen in the teaser video, these major changes have been made in the front design
Watching the teaser video clearly shows that the new Punch looks more ‘macho’ and like a powerful SUV than before. Its stance is quite straight and high. Talking about the changes in the design, it has been given a new set of LED headlamps and fog lamps. Also, the sleek daytime running lights (DRLs), new front grille and refreshed front bumper are giving it a quite muscular look. The company aims to give it an even more commanding SUV feel with the updated design.
New dual-tone alloy wheels will be available with connected tail lamps, a glimpse of Punch EV will be seen in the design.
Now a connected tail lamp setup will be seen in the rear profile of the car, which is quite in trend these days. Apart from this, new dual-tone alloy wheels can also be seen in the teaser video. This facelift model will be based on Tata’s latest design philosophy. It is important to note that the new petrol/CNG Punch will be largely similar to the Punch EV in terms of styling and features, thereby providing a premium experience to the customers.
High-tech features like 10.25 inch large touchscreen and 360-degree camera can be found in the interior.
Although the interior of the new Punch has not been fully revealed yet, it is expected that the updated micro-SUV will come with a larger 10.25-inch infotainment system and a fully digital instrument cluster. Along with this, a new steering wheel, updated dashboard layout and new upholstery can also be available. Talking about the features, technologies like 360-degree parking camera and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) can also be included in the package.
Launch will be on January 13, chances of change in engine and power options less
Tata Motors will launch this new car in the market on January 13. In terms of engine, the new Tata Punch is likely to continue with the existing 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. This engine will be available in both petrol and CNG options. In petrol mode, this motor generates power of 87 bhp and torque of 115 Nm, which is paired with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT transmission. Whereas, in CNG version it gives power of 72 bhp and torque of 103 Nm.
