New Delhi. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Friday announced that the Indian team will tour Bangladesh in September this year, where a series of three ODIs and the same number of T20 Internationals will be played between the two teams. However, considering the current situation, it is not yet clear whether the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will give final approval for this tour or not, because Bangladesh currently does not have a stable government.

ODI and T20 series to be played in September

According to the schedule released by BCB, ODI matches will be played between the two teams on 1, 3 and 6 September. After this, India and Bangladesh will clash in the T20 series on 9, 12 and 13 September. The Indian team will reach Bangladesh on 28th August.

India’s Bangladesh tour was canceled last year

Let us tell you that in July last year, India’s tour of Bangladesh was canceled indefinitely and the six-match white ball series was postponed for more than a year. At that time, BCCI had issued a statement saying, ‘Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have mutually decided to postpone the series of three ODI and three T20 matches to be held in August 2025 till September 2026.’

The statement also said that this decision has been taken keeping in mind the convenience of the international cricket program and schedule of both the teams. Also, BCB had expressed hope of welcoming India in September 2026 and had talked about releasing the revised schedule later. Now it remains to be seen what final decision the BCCI takes regarding this proposed September tour in the current circumstances.
