Hero MotoCorp shares rallied over 3% in early trade after the company reported a strong sales performance for December 2025, reflecting sustained demand momentum across both domestic and global markets.
In December 2025, Hero MotoCorp dispatched 456,479 units, registering a year-on-year growth of 40% compared with 324,906 units sold in the same month last year. Retail demand also remained healthy, with VAHAN registrations standing at 291,732 units. The performance was supported by continued festive-season momentum, recent product introductions, and consistent traction across the company’s internal combustion engine (ICE) as well as electric vehicle portfolios.
The strong monthly trend was backed by an equally solid performance in the third quarter of FY26. During Q3 FY26, which covered the period from October to December 2025, Hero MotoCorp recorded growth across both motorcycles and scooters. Motorcycle volumes rose to 1,512,255 units, up from 1,360,159 units in Q3 FY25, while scooter volumes jumped to 184,522 units from 103,643 units a year earlier. Overall, total volumes for the quarter stood at 1,696,777 units, compared with 1,463,802 units in the corresponding quarter last year, highlighting broad-based growth across categories.
A key driver of the quarterly performance was the company’s ICE scooter portfolio, which posted a growth of 45% during Q3 FY26. Newer models such as Destini 110, Destini 125, Xoom 125, and Xoom 160 continued to witness healthy customer response in the domestic market, contributing meaningfully to volume expansion. Domestic dispatches in December 2025 were reported at 419,243 units, while total domestic volumes for Q3 FY26 increased to 1,594,592 units from 1,391,332 units recorded in the same period last year.
Hero MotoCorp’s global business also maintained an upward trajectory during the quarter. Export dispatches rose to 37,236 units in December 2025, compared with 30,754 units a year ago, marking a 21% year-on-year increase. For Q3 FY26, exports stood at 102,185 units, up from 72,470 units in Q3 FY25, supported by portfolio expansion and steady demand across key international markets.
Following the strong sales update, Hero MotoCorp shares traded higher in morning deals. As of 9:35 AM IST, the stock was trading 2.88% higher at ₹6,010.00.
