Gary Neville laid into Ruben Amorim's tactics and insisted the Manchester United boss got it all wrong after they limped to a woeful draw at home to Wolves in the Premier League. Amorim changed his tactics from the win over Newcastle and was made to pay as the league's bottom club held them to a point.
The United boss changed his tactic in the Boxing Day win over Newcastle for the first time in his 13 months in charge. After persisting with a 3-4-3 system at United, Amorim switched to a 4-2-3-1 in the victory over Newcastle. With Bryan Mbeumo and Amad at AFCON and Bruno Fernandes out with an injury, the United boss utilised his squad with a surprising tweak.
Patrick Dorgu moved to the right wing, scoring the winner, with Luke Shaw returning to left-back after becoming a regular at left centre-back. However, against Wolves,Amorim was forced to change his starting 11 with Mason Mount injured and Joshua Zirkzee starting in his place.

Within the 25 minutes, United struggled to control the game and failed to hurt Wolves, who have collected just two points all season. Neville, speaking on Sky Sports, was left bemused by United's tactics as he questioned the positions of four players. "This isn't right again," he said.
"So I think I've watched enough United over this last five or six weeks. I've watched six out of their last seven games to know what looks right and what isn't right and I'm really surprised.
"Zirkzee on this right side having to chase back to right back almost, Dalot right wing back, Ayden Heaven right centre back, Dorgu over on the left back where he's not been playing well.
"All of it just isn't as good as it was in the last couple of games where they've played in different positions and we should be OK to say that. I think that's what the fans are thinking inside this stadium. They're in exactly the same place as we are.
"The performances have been so much better in these last two or three games through the tweaks that have been made but he's gone back tonight to his 3-4-3 but the problem is he has got players in the system.
"Zirkzee on this right channel, obviously he's going central now. Dalot over here, having to come back all the time, it's not right. They're playing against a team tonight that are struggling so could win and get away with it but it doesn't mean it's the right system to watch because it's not."
Zirkzee marked his return to the starting line-up with a deflected effort to score his second goal of the season. However, Wolves got themselves level just before the break when Ladislav Krejc converted from a corner, leading to boos from the home fans at the break.
Despite dominating the ball and causing Wolves problems, United couldn't find a winner and were met with boos at full-time. It means since the end of November, they have dropped points to Everton, Bournemouth, West Ham and Wolves.
Amorim was accused of playing mind games by Mark Chapman, having remained tight-lipped about his formation plans in his pre-match interview before lining up in the warm-up with a back three.
"I think Ruben Amorim is taking the mick out of us a little bit because Manchester United have been warming up in a back three with Heaven on the right and Martinez in the middle and Luke Shaw on the left. Find out if it's three or a four on Sky Sports," Chapman joked.
